HAAGA-HELIA - University of Applied Sciences (HAAGA-HELIA)
is a private educational institution maintained by the HAAGA-HELIA Oy Ab. HAAGA-HELIA offers Bachelor level degree programmes in the following fields: Business, Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management, Information Technology, Journalism, Management Assistant Training, Sports Management and Vocational Teacher Education.
HAAGA-HELIA - University of Applied Sciences has more than 170 partner universities throughout the world. HAAGA-HELIA actively participates in SOCRATES /ERASMUS cooperation in student and teacher staff exchange, ECTS development and intensive programmes. In addition, HAAGA-HELIA has experience in projects financed by LEONARDO DA VINCI programme, European Social Funds, Nordplus scheme and FIRST programme (co-operation with Russia). HAAGA-HELIA is also active partner in the Finnish Virtual Polytechnic which is the co-operation network of all Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences.
In this project HAAGA-HELIA is acting as a coordinator of the whole project, as a leader of work packages one, two, five and seven, and participates actively to all other work packages.

Hotel Haaga Oy
is independent hotel with 121 rooms, three restaurants and 12 conference rooms. Hotel Haaga is one of Best Western Finland hotels.
Hotel Haaga participates in VIRBUS as an enterprise partner. Their role in VIRBUS will be mainly concentrating on content development and advising with realistic data and cases. Their will also participate to the testing and dissemination of the complete VIRBUS.

The network of BW Hotels Finland consists of over 20 hotels located all over in Finland, in Baltic counties and in Russia. Best Western is an marketing organisation for independent hotel. BW hotels in Finland are members of BW Hotels International. Best Western International is the world's largest hotel brand with over 4,100 hotels in 80 countries.

Jollas Institute
The Jollas Institute is a special vocational institute that provides training for all personnel groups and chains within the S Group (The S Group businesses include food and groceries, specialty goods, hotels and restaurants, hardware and agriculture, automobiles and service stations). The goal of Jollas Institute’s activities is to augment competence, which supports the fulfilment of business strategies. The priorities are the development of supervisors’ capabilities, underpinning activities in line with concepts and the dissemination of best practices. The aim is to support supervisors in managing efficient operations and service quality management. New training programmes included courses for financial management and HR professionals, service coaching for the Sokos chain and courses related to the communications strategy of the S Group. In 2004 the Jollas Institute racked up 1,200 training days, which were attended by more than 16,000 students.The Jollas Institute participates in VIRBUS as an enterprise partner. Their role in VIRBUS will be concentrating on content development, testing and dissemination of the complete VIRBUS.
